Madrileña nacida y criada en el barrio de Chamberí, marcada por el número 7 y por la Luna. Nací un 14 de julio del 1977 a las siete de la tarde. En el día en que se conmemora la toma de la Bastilla. Mi padre quiso llamarme Libertad pero, al final venció el Nuria, en honor a Núria Espert, de quien mi padre era gran admirador en su momento. El sobrenombre me vino así un poco impuesto de rebote cuando empecé a tocar el bajo con las Chopper Chicks, mi primer grupo. El Nuri Alabama pasó a ser mi nombre de guerra. Aborrecía el "Nuri" en su momento y, al final, con los años, hasta le he cogido cariño o me he resignado a ello, ya no se ;)

Tras las Chopper, vino Nuri Alabama y sus Pendejo Rancheros (un único concierto en una casa particular del que conservo una cicatriz en la pierna), y luego llegaron las Pin Ups, las Sweet Nothings y finalmente, Las Señoras, mi grupo favorito de todos los que tuve. Pero, de todo esto han pasado muchos años ya...

Hice ballet durante muchos años para pasarme luego a la danza oriental y volver al ballet y, volver a dejarlo pero, con ganas de retomarlo todo el tiempo.
Trabajé muchos años, demasiados, en producción de televisión y, de aquella experiencia sólo saqué una cosa en claro, y fue que no quería volver a la tele. Hoy paso mi jornada laboral en una agencia de diseño en la Gran Vía, con unas preciosas vistas de mi ciudad.

Me sigue encantando la música y las pelis, visitar museos, dar paseos.... Creo que hoy día con lo que más sigo disfrutando es con la lectura, en los libros me puedo perder horas pero, también disfruto muchísimo con la charla y compañía de amigas y gente maja y de unas cañas, ¡siempre son bienvenidas unas cañas (bien tiradas, por supuesto)! Y en la última temporada, por circunstancias de la vida, también estoy cogiéndole mucho gusto a pasar tiempo con mis padres, que se han hecho muy mayores de pronto...

I was born and raised in the Chamberí neighborhood of Madrid, with the number 7 playing a major role in my life. I was born on July 14, 1977, at seven in the evening—on the day that commemorates the Bastille. My father wanted to name me Libertad, but in the end, Nuria won out, in honor of Núria Espert, whom my father greatly admired at the time. The nickname came about by chance when I started playing bass with Chopper Chicks, my first band. Nuri Alabama became my stage name. I hated "Nuri" at first, but over time, I've either grown fond of it or resigned myself to it—I’m not quite sure which ;)

After Chopper, came Nuri Alabama y sus Pendejo Rancheros (we played just one gig at a private house, and I still have a scar on my leg from it), and then came The Pin Ups, The Sweet Nothings, and finally, Las Señoras—my favorite band out of all the ones I've been in. But all of this was a long time ago...

I did ballet for many years, then switched to oriental dancing, and eventually returned to ballet, only to quit again—but I always feel like picking it up again.

I worked many years, too many, in TV production, and from that experience, I only took away one thing for sure: that I didn’t want to go back. Nowadays, I spend my workday at a design agency on Gran Vía, with beautiful views of my city.

I still love music and watching movies, although I go to the cinema less and less and prefer revisiting old films or ones I’ve already seen—maybe it's my age or a touch of nostalgia (something I suffer from a fair bit). These days, what I enjoy most is reading—I can get lost in books for hours. But I also love hanging out with friends and nice people, and going out for a few drinks—there's always room for a good beer (properly poured, of course)! Lately, due to life's circumstances, I've also come to really enjoy spending time with my parents, who suddenly became very old.
