ITEM 2# Tala Madani: Biscuits

Intenté volver a ver la expo de Pipilotti, pero ya había terminado. Una pena :(
Afortunadamente, en el mismo espacio, ahora había una retrospectiva de Tala Madani, artista que no conocía y que ha pasado a ser una de mis preferidas.
El arte de Madani puede parecer sencillo a primera vista, incluso cutre o grotesco, pero en cada pintura hay un mensaje intenso y lleno de vida, muerte, luz y oscuridad, y seguramente un poco de sangre o caca. Obviamente todo es pintura. Si fuera caca de verdad me gustaría igualmente, pero llevaría una pinza. Un periodista decía de ella que se ha establecido como la maestra de pintar caca esparcida como de dibujar los efectos prismáticos de la luz proyectada. Estoy de acuerdo. Añadiría que además, hace señores que se miran el culo y el pito muy graciosos.
I tried to see Pipilotti's exhibition again, but it had already ended. Sad! Instead there was a retrospective of Tala Madani, an artist I didn’t know and has become one of my favorite artists.
Madani's art may appear simple or even crude at first glance, but each painting carries an intense message full of life, death, light, and darkness, and probably some blood or poop splatter. Of course, not real poop, it’s all paint. I’d still dig it if it were poop, I'd just bring a pin with me. A journalist once described her as the master of painting scattered feces and capturing the prismatic effects of projected light. I agree. I'd also add that she paints very funny men looking at their own butts and penises.

Realmente no sé qué vi aquí y me encanta esa sensación.
El propio Raad nos hizo una visita guiada por el museo Thyssen, mostrando, a través de diferentes obras, una red de interconexiones increíbles. Mezclando historia y fantasía, realidad y ficción, copia y original; nos llevó a una ácida reflexión sobre el arte, el capital y la magia.
I truly don't know what I witnessed here, and I love that feeling.
Raad himself gave us a guided tour of the Thyssen Museum, showcasing an incredible network of connections through various artworks. Blending history and fantasy, reality and fiction, copy and original, Walid led us to an acid reflection on art, capital, and magic.
ITEM 4# Fojo Berto: 1000 Dibujitos

A esta sí que fui sabiendo de qué iba.
Fojo es de mis dibujantes favoritos y tuve la suerte de poder ver sus 1000 dibujitos en persona. Cada dibujo de Fojo contiene universos de humor y fantasía, y nunca te dejan de sorprender. Personajes consumidos y descompuestos se mezclan con otros contemplativos y despiertos.
This time, I went knowing exactly what to expect. Fojo is one of my favorite artists, and I was fortunate enough to see his 1000 little drawings in person. Each drawing by Fojo contains universes of humor and fantasy, and full of surprises!
